This Week

Yeah so I dont have any time to write.

Amilya needs to go to girls camp!! It will be the best memories she will have for a long time! If it is anything like scout camp it is awesome and the women are always more prepared than the men so hahaha.
IS there a way I can get my line of authority card? how do I do that?
Elder Bravo is super chill and teaches using a lot of examples and stuff. I have a lot of little projects I am trying to do right now that are kind of crazy time consuming ahhh.
Something hilarious from this week. We were talking with some lady on her doorstep and I was trying to write something down and listen at the same time. I heard her say “I have to go to the hospital today” So I said “Oh I am so sorry” the part I didn’t hear was the part before that when she said that her daughter had just had a baby girl… hahaha after we were walking away and Elder Bravo was like…what?…..is wrong with you hahaha
The first couple days “leading the sector” were super scary and I felt like I was letting my new companion down. We are having a lot of success now and we found a ton of new investigators this week who have been prepared to hear the Gospel. We also set a ton of baptismal dates this week. But yeah at first it ws really hard. Tuesday was one of the longest days of my life I think.
On wednesday night we had a BBQ at one of the members houses. We were given permission to watch the Copa America( the soccer matches for all of south america) because chile is playing and everyone is so preocupied that they can’t focus on our message. haha, but it was really fun and we had a ton of BBQ.
I found out this week how the Book of Mormon is set up perfect to help us teach the restoration of the Gospel. 1 nephi chapter 1 explains everything about the book of mormon and prophets and its just awesome.
Thursday was one of the wierdest days. We taught some people who just needed us to tell them super straight up what we are trying to teach. To most it would be rude to just say.
“Our church is the only church on the earth that has the authority”, haha but for a couple of our investigators it was just what they needed to hear, and then.. it was like all of a sudden they just understood…haha.
It was also a day of many answered prayers. I felt very close to Heavenly Father this day. Every time we needed something to happen it just worked out. It was also freezing cold for some reason. We had to go buy some beanies because I didn’t really bring a big jacket to the mission. haha because i am an idiot.ha. but I was dying, it also helped us get into peoples houses because they felt bad for us haha.
My favorite scripture right now and probably forever is Alma 32. Just Fe. Wow I seriously have no time to write. ahhh. this week was amazing and I want to share every little detail with you guys. but next week i guess. love you a ton!

Hey bro! I loved your email and I am glad that everything is going great with Elder Bravo. Is he brave or angry haha? In honduras everyone uses the word bravo to say that something is angry or mean. This little kid on the bus today told me that chile won the cup! Sí hombre! haha we were walking down the street last night, and we heard the game was playing and my planch of a companion wanted to check it out haha, I only let him watch like 2 min! I can´t believe you have already been on the mission for like 5 months. I love you!

    Elder Riley Jay Blake
